It includes a comprehensive annex of all relevant recent literature. Part 1 of the report provides an overview of the size, migration history and ethnic and religious diversity of the Muslim population in Denmark, as well as the experiences of Muslims in terms of discrimination and disadvantage in education, employment, housing, social services, and policing. Part 2 reviews the wider national policy context in which the cities to be monitored will operate, the perception of Muslims and evidence of how they are viewed in wider society, in political discourse and the media. It also includes details of policies and initiatives addressing integration and discrimination, as well as an overview of the administrative structures. Part 3 recommends three or four cities as possible focuses of the monitoring research.
