2008-10-08 · European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) (via EUMAP) · Events

The European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) will host a seminar about the politics and practice of integrating immigrants into European host societies. It will take place on 1-3 December in Maastricht, the Netherlands.

The seminar is designed to meet the needs of policy makers and other public officials in the European Union and its partner countries by offering them the required knowledge and skills to effectively identify what makes a good integration policy. In particular, it will enable participants to look at the influence of EU policies and instruments on integration within the Member States, study integration practices in comparative perspective, and discuss the issue of how to assess best practices.

The deadline of registration is 10 November 2008. Visit EIPA's website for more information on the event.
