The conference "Beyond East and West: Two Decades of Media Transformation After the Fall of Communism" will be organised by the Center for Media and Communications Studies of the Central European University and will take place in Budapest on 25-27 June 2009. The conference will analyze the state of media and communication research in Central/Eastern Europe after 20 years of transformation. It will provide an opportunity for critically re-examining the social, technological and policy changes in the regional media landscape and for exploring future trajectories of media development.
