The Department of Interethnic Relations of the Romanian Government organizes during August 9-15 the training entitled "The reflection of ethnic diversity in the Romanian press." The training will be delivered by Nicholas Nugent, journalist BBC, trainer and media and diversity consultant, who has a vast experience in the media reflection of interethnic and inter-religious from countries like Bosnia, Serbia, Russia, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Afghanistan, Somalia, Nigeria, Egypt, Turkmenistan, Indonesia etc.

ENAR is seeking an author to draft its European Shadow Report 2008. The comparative EU-wide Shadow report is based on the ENAR National Reports 2008. The European Shadow Report 2008 shall reflect the NGO perspective and the situation of racism comparatively in the European Union.

The Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) of OSCE is seeking an Adviser on Roma and Sinti Issues. The Adviser will develop and implement all programmatic activities and projects related to tasks assigned to the ODIHR Contact Point for Roma and Sinti Issues in the Action Plan and/or as stipulated under relevant Ministerial and Permanent Councils decisions related to Roma and Sinti.

The European Roma and Travellers Forum (ERTF) has launched a call for applications for membership to national umbrella organisations representing at least 75 % of all established and officially registered structures representative of Roma, Sinti, Kale, Travellers and other related groups in each Council of Europe member State having such a population. They are inviting NGOs to apply for setting up a national umbrella organisation in their respective country.

Inter-Disciplinary.Net is organising its 5th Global Conference between 6-8 November 2009 on Pluralism, Inclusion & Citizenship. The conference seeks to explore the new developments and changes of the idea of pluralism and their implications for social and political processes of inclusion and citizenship in contemporary societies. Looking to encourage innovative trans-disciplinary dialogues, Inter-Disciplinary.Net welcomes papers from all disciplines, professions and vocations which struggle to understand what it means for people, the world over, to be citizens in rapidly changing national, social and political landscapes.

The Council of Europe has launched a call for participants for its long term training course on access to social rights for young people from disadvantaged neighbourhoods, to be held from July 2009 to March 2011. The aim of the course is to develop the competences of youth workers/youth leaders to contribute to combating the social exclusion of young people in disadvantaged neighbourhoods. Each participant in the course is expected to develop and implement a project with young people at risk. The project must be developed within their sending organisation and in as far as possible implemented in cooperation with local and regional authorities.

The European Commission has launched its 2009-2010 call for applications for its internship for young Roma graduates. The internship will start on 1 October 2009 until 28 February 2010. The internship aims to give Roma interns a general idea of the objectives and problems of European integration; to provide them with practical knowledge of the working of Commission departments; and to enable them to enrich and put into practice the knowledge they have acquired during their studies or professional careers.

The Programmes Director (PD) develops and implements, with relevant staff, the research and policy, advocacy and human rights education work of the organisation. The PD ensures informed and timely action on all advocacy issues related to Roma rights and guarantees the production of high quality advocacy materials.
