Severe discrimination of Roma children in Slovakia – calls for action to the EU and the Slovak government

Submission by the Open Society Institute to the European Commission's public consultation on Schools in the 21th Century: The contribution by Andre Wilkens, Director, Open Society Institute-Brussels, and Katy Negrin, Consultant, EU Monitoring and Advocacy Programme (EUMAP) to the Public consultation "Schools for the 21st century" (info) focused on equal access to quality education for Roma pupils.

Follow-up action on Television across Europe report in full swing: The OSI Network Media Programme (NMP) leads a followup project to the EUMAP/NMP monitoring, in which several national and transnational research activities are financed. Four of those are underway and will be completed in 2007.
